A message from Mary:

Worship for the Weekday began as my private quiet time with God in the mornings before work. It’s so challenging to be in the world and not “of the world!” One morning I had an interesting question/interpretation/revelation regarding a scripture and shared it with several friends. As each morning came and went, I added more and more recipients to the distribution list.

To make the devotions available to anyone, in their own timeframe, I decided to establish this website. I know that God desires to use me in this way—for right now. He gave me the gift of communication and the ability to write in a way that touches others’ lives. And while I have written poetry, penned articles for the church newspaper, and the neighborhood newsletter, written some prayers for special occasions when requested, and dabbled over the years, I never found my voice—until now.

Throughout the process of turning over more and more of my past, my present and my future to God, he has guided, corrected and directed me to this point. Some mornings it takes longer than others for me to “hear” Him. But each morning I “just know” when I find it. And more often than not, I begin to type the “lesson” without being sure of the direction it will take.

Most of all God has blessed me and loved me and revealed Himself to me as the source of every good thing in my life. He has longed for me to find Him! He has waited patiently for me to tell him I was ready to be His. He waits for you too. My prayer today is that you will run to him, trusting in Him and His love that never fails, never falters, never ends.

I invite you to share this journey with me.
